Introduction

We are happy to announce that after a lengthy period of hard work we have officially established the Beirut Film Foundation. The primary objectives of the Foundation are to develop, support and strengthen Arabic-speaking cinema to ensure its prominent position in the international film arena. To this end, the Foundation has initiated five exciting projects covering the Middle Eastern Arab-speaking countries. Cinema in the Middle East needs a foundation such as ours. In turn, we need the support of the loyal film lovers of Lebanon and the whole of the Middle East region.
