El Violin by Francisco Vargas (Mexico)
Don Plutarco, his son Genaro and his grandson Lucio lead a double life: they are musicians and peasants. They are involved in the « guerilla campesina » which goal is to fight the government with weapons. The army attacks the village and the guerillas runaway in the sierra, leaving behind them all their ammunitions. While the villagers prepare a counterattack, the old Plutarco has a plan of his own: he walks back to his village while "innocently" playing violin in order to recuperate the ammunitions. The captain of the army is fascinated by the old man's music and asks him to come back every day to play during his lunch break. Don Plutarco has the music, but he wants the weapons… The captain wants to stop the rebellion, but he likes music…
